Where in Scotland are you located?
Coatbridge
Tell us about yourself?
Been running my own business since 2007, with some successes and a few failures as part of a learning curve.
I am a solution driven individual who believes for every problem there is a solution.
My business was structured on solving problems and I built up an impressive client base of 4 of the 6 top house builders and 32 local authorities.
What lessons has being an entrepreneur taught you?
To trust in yourself, your gut intuition even if that is different to what everyone else believes.
If you could go back in time to when you first started your business, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Buy bitcoin, and sit on a beach for 10 years and enjoy myself 🙂 or be more relaxed and have no expectations because everything always works out.
A lot of entrepreneurs find it difficult to balance their work and personal lives. How have you found that?
Murder. This was my single greatest challenge.
What is the inspiration behind your business?
To help businesses be more profitable, and help save the Planet.
What do you think is your magic sauce? What sets you apart from the competitors?
We are the ONLY company doing what we are doing. Combined with passion to help other businesses.
How have you found sales so far? Do you have any lessons you could pass on to other founders in the same market as you just starting out?
It has taken longer than expected to gain sales, because we needed more ammunition to back up our story.
What is the biggest challenge you have faced so far in your business, and how did you overcome it?
Explaining how the entire carbon reduction strategy is FLAWED. We treated whiteboard videos to explain ‘why’ its flawed and the correct solution with benefits.
What do you consider are the main strengths of operating your business in Scotland?
The weather. If we were in England it would be too sunny and we would spend all our time having a BBQ.That’s a serious answer.
What if any are weaknesses of operating your business within Scotland?
None as we are online.
What influence does being part of the UK have on your business?
Once we expand to other countries, the UK hopefully will provide credibility. Especially after the publicity the Queen’s death generated.
What do you want to accomplish in the next 5 years with your business?
To have 10% of all businesses (approx 560,000) being a ZERO Carbon Company
How has Brexit impacted your business (if at all)?
No
And finally, if people want to get involved and learn more about your business, how should they do that?
